Meet the Photographer
Hey there! payton here...
Hi, friends!! My name is Payton Barnard and I’m the short—barely 5' 2''—human behind the camera!
How I got here: When I was around 15 years old, I would travel to my brothers travel ball games every weekend with a beginner camera taking pictures to pass the time. I shortly fell in love with capturing moments that people could hold onto and look back on for years to come.
What was first a hobby became a passion, then a full time business in 2022. I've been blessed with opportunity after opportunity to learn and grow in this field with the help of multiple mentors. If they hadn't invested and poured into me like they did at a young age, I would not be where I am today.
Something you may not know about me, is over the past four years I've been traveling all over the country photographing rodeo pageants. Miss Rodeo America, Miss Rodeo USA, Miss Teen Rodeo USA, Miss Rodeo Arkansas, Miss Rodeo Oklahoma, Miss Rodeo Texas, and Miss Rodeo Washington. I work under an incredibly talented photographer who has a passion for people and travel, just like I do. We make a pretty great team!
My goal is to capture a happy day, a moment, and translate it into a photograph. Whether it’s to show off a pretty ring, graduation cap, or your beautiful family—there’s nothing more rewarding than saving that memory for you!

fun fact #1

I married my husband after 6 months of knowing each other
What's even crazier is he proposed after only 3 months of dating!! Isn't that wild?! All I have you say about that is, God is Good!!
Fun Fact #2

Favorite place i've traveled to is Catalina Island!
One of the most peaceful places I've ever been to! Not much chilling by the beach space, but it still gives off Mama Mia vibes! Their main source of transportation is golf carts, that was one of the coolest things about the island!
Fun fact #3

I almost lost my finger trying to cut a watermelon
I was 14 when I decided I wanted to try to cut a whole watermelon, unsupervised, with the biggest knife in the kitchen haha! Ended up with some stitches and the doctor said if I had cut just a sliver more I would've lost my finger!
fun fact #4

One of my goals is to travel to as many national parks as i can!
Whether it's on a work trip or vacation, I'm gonna try to hit up as many national parks as I can! I've only been to a few, but want to go see more!
